10 am, Budapest – Don Quixote and ILAB Pop Up Book Fair at the Instituto Cervantes

Take Spanish lessons in Budapest! Or play chess! Or simply enjoy the books on show at the Instituto Cervantes. As 23 April is a symbolic date for world literature – the day Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, William Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega died – the Hungarian antiquarian booksellers pop up at the Spanish Instituto Cervantes, located in one of the most beautiful mansions of the city.

At the same time Instituto Cervantes, part of a worldwide organization to promote the Spanish language and literature, will open an exhibition of Hungarian editions of Don Quixote, while the ILAB booksellers from Hungary not only show rare and fine Hungarian books, manuscripts and documents, but also bibliophile treasures connected with the Spanish language, literature and culture.
